Capella Taipei Opens Its Doors in the Heart of Songshan

Marking its debut in Taiwan, Capella Hotel Group introduces Capella Taipei, a sophisticated new address designed by the acclaimed André Fu Studio. Officially opening on 1 April, the hotel brings together refined comfort, thoughtful design, and local character—all set in the vibrant Songshan district, with Taipei 101 and cultural hotspots just a short drive away.
André Fu, the creative mind behind Bangkok’s Dusit Thani and The Maybourne Bar in Los Angeles, envisioned the property as a contemporary mansion—one that blends understated European elegance with subtle Eastern details. Expect tranquil, light-filled interiors, floor-to-ceiling windows framing the skyline and mountains beyond, and a calm leafy outlook over Dunhua North Road.
Capella Taipei houses 86 keys, including 78 guest rooms and eight suites. Highlights range from Balcony Rooms with sweeping views of the mountains, to Pool Terrace Rooms complete with private plunge pools. At the top end, the Capella Suite spans 228 square metres and includes its own living and dining areas, gym, and plenty of room to unwind.
Guests will also find a fitness centre, spa, flotation pod, and five restaurants and bars. Whether it’s a quiet omakase dinner or a modern wellness treatment you’re after, there’s something for every mood. For those curious to explore the city, the hotel’s Capella Culturists offer tailored experiences—from laid-back tea tastings in the hills to discovering Taipei’s oldest neighbourhoods through the Capella Curates programme.
