Art Jakarta Papers 2026 Officially Announced: A New Platform for Paper-Based Contemporary Art

Art Jakarta Papers is a premier art fair dedicated to showcasing contemporary art with a clear focus on paper as a medium of artistic exploration. Held at City Hall, PIM 3, Jakarta, from 5–8 February 2026, the fair brings together notable galleries, artists, collectors, and art enthusiasts from Indonesia and the region. Art Jakarta Papers highlights the diverse possibilities of paper in contemporary practice — ranging from drawing and printmaking to sculptures and large-scale installations — creating a vibrant platform for artistic exchange, cultural dialogue, and creative innovation within Southeast Asia’s dynamic art scene.

Beyond the exhibition, Art Jakarta Papers presents a rich program of special installations, interactive experiences, live performances, and a series of panel discussions exploring the role of paper in the contemporary art ecosystem. Through collaborations with leading partners, curated solo presentations, and thematic discussions on conservation, artistic experimentation, and international market opportunities, the fair reinforces its commitment to strengthening the art ecosystem while celebrating paper as a medium that is historically significant, conceptually rich, and culturally relevant. Art Jakarta Papers invites collectors, curators, and the wider public to deepen their appreciation of paper-based art and engage in an ongoing dialogue that shapes the future of contemporary art in the region.
